Has anyone in Västerort being to Nordea in Vällingby lately?
Nordea is breaking the Swedish record in time wasting @ banks. It is possible to be on the queue for an hour or more in Nordea Vällingby. I have never seen something like that before in Sweden.
You could go to Nordea and pick a number 344 for example and the attention still on number 280. This means that there are more than 60 people before it is your turn. If you translate one person’s time to 2 minutes with 2 counters opened, it means you’ll wait at least 1 hour before you are attended to. This is what I call bad planning.
So what can Nordea do? Well, one of my suggestion is to advice Nordea to give savings account owners bankomat cards. With Bankomat cards, savings account owners will skip going to the bank to withdraw 100 or 200kr. I still don’t understand why you have to own a personkonto in Nordea before you can have a Bankomat or VISA card.
For example, I have two accounts with Nordea but each time I need money, I have to go to the Bank. Of course I have a VISA card to another bank (HANDELSBANKEN) but since I don’t have a personkonto with Nordea, I always have to join the multitudes (including pensioners) at Nordea in Vällingby.
So one way out, give VISA card and Bankomat card to savings account owners and let them skip the time wasting venture at Nordea Banks.
Two is that in that same bank, more time is wasted on elderly people. So maybe they should have a special queue for these elderly people. They are pensioners and they are never in a hurry. They have nothing to lose is they get a queue of their own. The other queues should be opened to other people who have deposits to make or who would not like to have Bankomat card to make withdrawals.
The most important solution is to ensure that all the counters/ kassa are opened always. It is very annoying to walk into a bank with hundreds of people and having only 1 or 2 or 3 kassa/ counters functioning.
Nordea is opening another bank in Vällingby Centrum. That might help but it is not the lasting solution to the multitudes that beseech their offices daily.
On a very personal note, I really want Nordea to give me the chance to own a Bankomat Card coupled to my savings account. I am very tired of lining up each time I want to withdraw my money. When I get fed up, I will move my account away from Nordea. That will be my own solution to putting all this nonsense behind me.
Act now Nordea!
